What a fantastic ABC advent calendar….might have to do this next year, to add to other two advent calendars. ;) Each letter is an ornament that starts with that letter and you take it out on the day and hang it on the tree.
I love the brushwork on the bottom and left and the way the photos are stacked.
I love how simple this page is but so eye-catching. I love titling that truly blends right into that paper and the stitches. You’d never know it’s digi!

I rarely (okay, never…or almost never) convert my photos to black and white. I am just a big fan of COLOR images. Most of these comments on this blog post from ClickinMoms was not new to me, but I have never really *thought* about the impact harsh light can make on a black and white image. I tend to just cringe at my color photos with this kind of strong, contrasty light—-but this image is wonderful and powerful! I love it.
I’m totally reconsidering my dis-use of black-and-white, and I just might be on a mission to find the harsh light and try this out.
