I rarely (okay, never…or almost never) convert my photos to black and white. I am just a big fan of COLOR images. Most of these comments on this blog post from ClickinMoms was not new to me, but I have never really *thought* about the impact harsh light can make on a black and white image. I tend to just cringe at my color photos with this kind of strong, contrasty light—-but this image is wonderful and powerful!  I love it.

I’m totally reconsidering my dis-use of black-and-white, and I just might be on a mission to find the harsh light and try this out.
